Marine Sector

Chris Biggs Engineering has been based on the waters-edge in Fowey, Cornwall for over 50 years and nobody understand the needs of the marine community better than us.

We have been delivering quality fabricating services to the marine community across the South West for decades and we offer personal consultations that do not require deep pockets but a collaboration of thoughts to get a balanced approach to design, budgets and delivery time requirements. We build sustainable, robust and affordable manufactured products as our key factors in mind when fabricating new or when carrying out repairs to existing metalwork. All work is carried out by our qualified craftsmen in our workshops or at the water’s edge.

We ensure our quality-controlled products are robust enough to withstand whatever the weather or the sea throws ensuring they are strong enough to last, whilst using the very latest manufacturing methods to reduce and mitigate any corrosion concerns with constant submergence for some products, we are so confident in our processes, we rubber stamp with peace of mind warranties.

We specialise in custom made steel fabrication, marine necessities and off the shelf products which can include all the below:

  • Boarding ladders, Bimini frames, fuel tanks, pulpits, handrails, and other deck fittings.
  • Swimming pools, staircases, balustrades, and boat kitchens.
  • Harbour Ladders, mooring stands, harbour seats, brackets, structural parts and fixtures for the marine market.

We are also able to manufacture one-off items and specific or irregular shaped and/or sized pieces, (you know,…… that odd thing that has no name)

A name the Marine fraternity can trust……

Our reputation has been built on providing a quality service without breaking the bank and it’s the exact reason customers come back to us again and again.
